Baby Boomers Rock!

Meldrum/Welser Get-together!

The Meldrum-Welser friendship started when my Mom, Noreene and her best friend, Tia, met in 1st Grade.  They have been great friends ever since.  For their 50th Birthday, the two of them swam across the St. Clair River!   So to keep with the tradition, I’ll be swimming across the river this summer after I turn 50.

Over the holidays, we decided to get together for a little remanissing!  Oh the stories these two have to tell.  We really had a great time, and had lots of laughs.  We really have to do this more often!

My Dad’s 75th Birthday

Click on the photo to see entire album and slideshow!!          From Dad’s 75th Bi…

Well, we pulled it off and surprised my dad, Ted, for his 75th Birthday (January 18th).  We said we were going to have dinner at McRea’s Big River Grille in Algonac, MI, but when we arrived, the whole family was there waiting!  Believe it or not, he was completely surprised!   Dad’s birthday is a dual celebration since it’s also my sister, Karen’s, birthday too.  She was born on my dad’s birthday in 1966.  Now that’s a birthday gift!

Happy Birthday to Dad and Karen!

A Merry Christmas in Michigan

Jeff, Kathy, Karen, Mom (Noreene), Dad (Ted) and Jill

Well, we had quite a scare this year when my mom suddenly became ill on Thanksgiving day and it wasn’t really diagnosed or treated until almost 3 weeks later. We almost lost her, so we sure have a lot to be thankful for this Christmas Season!

Midnight Beach Walk

A few weeks ago, we heard the surf was supposed to be 15+ foot waves, so we harnessed up the boys, put sweaters on the three blue doxies so they wouldn’t get too cold and headed to Redondo Beach about Midnight.  To our dissapointment the waves were only about 5-6 feet.  But it wasn’t a total loss, the boys really enjoyed the ocean breeze and the midnight stroll, and we all got a little exercise.

Suzanne & Bill’s Christmas Warm-up!

Well, once again it that time of year, and our friends, Suzanne and Bill, hosted their annual “Christmas Warm-up”.  Most of us have worked together for years, but since some have moved on to other accounts or have left IBM, it’s always great fun catching up with everyone… at least once a year.  You can always count on a few suprises too!

Thanks Suzanne & Bill, we can’t wait to do it again next year!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

The Great Deer Hunter

My husband, Michael, is deer hunting in Wyoming with his friend, Dennis.  He called tonight to tell me he shot a 2×2 or 4 point buck.  The taxidermist told him it was the largest 2×2 he’s ever seen.

At 220 pounds… That sure is a heck of a lot of steak, burger, sausage and jerkey.
